Real World Use Cases: AI Supercharges GTM, Content and Creative

You’ve seen the headlines "AI will automate everything."

Over the past few years I’ve used AI tools at startups to tighten GTM workflows, reshape content strategy and unlock more creative output without adding headcount.

So no generic fluff, here are real use cases of how I used AI the past couple of years.

1. GTM Intelligence with AI-Driven Market Segmentation

I get pulled in on a lot of GTMs. At one, they needed smarter targeting for a B2B SaaS launch. I used Clearbit and fed ICP criteria. Bamn, we had enriched audience lists, PLG trigger signals and tech stack overlays.

- Result: We prioritized 3 campaigns backed by data; not my gut hunches which I'll admit I still go on. Conversion rates rose 25 % in the first quarter.

2. Content Ideation with Generative AI

At another gig, we ran weekly brainstorms. Then we add ChatGPT and Jasper into the mix. We prompted for content themes, headlines, sub-headers and even social post variations. We ended meetings with a Shareable Notion doc full of outlines.

- Result: Team ideation time dropped from about 3 hours to less than 1. We published 20–30% more content monthly while maintaining quality.

3. Personalization at Scale in Campaigns

Tailoring email campaigns for multiple verticals is tedious; I've done it. Now with HubSpot AI, we automatically swapped out value props, stats and examples to match personas. It's like a product marketers dream lol.

- Result: Open rates are now 30% higher for targeted emails. Demo bookings also climbed 15%.

4. SEO and GEO Cross‑Channel Insights (yes you know I've been harping on GEO of late)

We all know search is fragmented (just read some of my last blog posts.) Using SEMrush’s topic intelligence plus ChatGPT, we can identify high-value question clusters across Google, YouTube and forums. Then turn those into video scripts, FAQs and blog posts.

- Result: I got a SMB to rank in Google snippets and saw a 10% uplift in discovery via YouTube.

5. Creative Asset Generation and A/B Testing

Need 20 ad variants? We all know this is no problem today. With Midjourney and Canva’s Magic Design, we feed in brand assets, choose styles and batch-generated images. Then I A/B tested visuals across LinkedIn and Facebook using ad tools.

-Result: Found 3x better performing creative combinations in under a day.

6. Sales Enablement

I like working with Sales bc I have my own unique PLG twist and by nature I'm a natural people person (why I got my start in proc mrkt.) At 1 startup, we transformed one pagers and battlecards using AI summarization tools like ChatGPT plus Salesloft. Sales reps would upload a feature doc and AI outputs quick talking points and objection responses.

- Result: Teams spent 50% less prep time before calls and win rates on competitive deals improved 12 %.

Of course all this can be tracked on the custom reporting dashboards but I don't want to go into that now.
